JTL BIO:

As part of San Francisco’s much loved WERD collective, JTL has been increasingly making a name for himself as a purveyor of intelligent, danceable house and techno music.

JTL knew he had the ability to play the music people wanted to hear when he used to sneak mixed tapes on to the stereo at high school parties. An adolescence spent listening to underground hip hop installed a constant desire to find the music with the thick beat that spoke to him the most. His introduction to the electronic music came through living in Brighton, England and attending John Digweed's Bedrock nights at The Beach. The experience of listening to these modern day symphonies fed his desire to be immersed in this music; his first visit to Ibiza cemented it.

Since then, time spent living in the UK, Australia, San Francisco and Ibiza has exposed him to some of the best clubs, DJs and producers in the world. His love and dedication to the world of electronic music means that he is now the exponent of a sharp, precise, but always deep sound, one not often heard in the US. This is supported by thought out, purposeful track selection and an ability to read not only the crowd but the time, place and atmosphere, presenting the listener with a rich smooth sound that is always right for the moment.

It’s early days in his career, but already JTL has proven the precision, intelligence and emotional purpose which he brings to his music. Every move made in the booth reflects who he is as a person and everything that he loves about the music he plays. It’s exciting to see where this dedication may lead.

Ahh, yes....winter is upon us and so is a new mix I finally recorded for all you "house Junkee's" out there! This year has been an amazing run for playing out in San Francisco! I now have a new weekly party at 222 Hyde, every Sunday morning from 6AM-1PM, called "The After After Party." If you are in the Bay area, I suggest you check it out, because we're taking SF by storm! I will be creating an event page for this, so be sure to check back for Artist/DJ updates, etc.
In the meantime, I will try and post mixes more frequently...in the meantime, whether it's morning, noon or night...it's always After Hours somewhere in the world....enjoy.

Hello Fellow "House Junkee's" out there...I know it's been a minute, so for Episode 16, I have a very special Guest DJ from the San Francisco Bay area...Shiva T!
This mix is on Fire, so you better be cautious.
Originally from the East Bay, Shiva T (Tiffany) began her journey on the decks in 2003. It was then (2003) that she had the honors to open up for Marshall Jefferson at Club 6 for her first gig! In 2005, after having two kids, she decided to take a break. She purchased turntables for her home that same year and became an avid living room DJ, holding tight to her passions for house music. As her record collection grew, so did her yearning to spin out for a crowd once again...which brings us to now...having spun at many venues throughout the Bay, such as Ruby Sky, The End Up, Temple, Wish, etc., Shiva T is once again making waves in the underground house Scene...so press play and dance your ass off the way you'll want to when you hear this mix!

I can't believe how fast time flies when you're livin' life...but alas, I had to make time for music and I had to make time to post it here just for you...my fellow "House Junkees."

WOW, it's crazy how time flies these days...already 2 1/2 months since my last mix before I left for Burning Man. What an amazing trip that was! If you've never gone, I recommend doing so at least once before you die. Since returning home from that trip, I have had a full load of life on my plate...but alas, I always come back to the music...it truly heals me and I cannot escape that truth. I have committed to creating and managing this podcast, which means I have committed to you as a fellow "House Junkee." If I fall behind on that commitment, then I am letting you down as a listener, a follower AND a music lover. On that note, I return to you with a bangin' house mix...more on the Tech side for this episode.
